For those that follow my blog, i guessed you knew about my interview yesterday. Its an interview conducted by Government of Singapore Investment Coperation at Holiday Inn Malacca. Since it is held in Malacca, woke up extremely early yesterday ( for my standard lar), then dad drove me there. Mom came along too to teman dad. So, we travelled at 6.30 am after dropped William at school, reached there at about 8.30 am. Lucky the traffic was smooth all the way too Malacca. Since my registration only starting at 9 am, dad brought us to McD for our breakfast. When arrived at the hotel, I can start to feel the tensed atmosphere in the boardroom where all the interviewees gathered for the introduction talk by Mr. Chang. He briefed us about GIC and this scholarship stuff. Everyone there "looked" damn smart and all lk brainnies. I felt like the most unprepared one there. Not to mentioned that I'm the youngest applicant there, most of them had finished up there pre-u and are on their way doing their degrees. I gave dad a "how-i'm- suppose-to-compete-with -them" look. Most of them have either a little or basic finance and investment knowledge already, meanwhile I'm like a total blur case there. I actually did 3 different tests not two as mentioned the other day, wrote a short essay and went in for interview. What's the most surprisingly shocked me was that I was required to write the essay in...5 Minutes!!! I thought i heard wrong. I almost uttered out the word "F**K* out loud..cuz the 1st thing on my mind was " Oh shit! I'll never be able to complete this task". Luckily, the topic was not that hard, we were asked to write about " A mistake to look too far". Given the teeny weeny anount of time, I just managed to complete almost three quater of the page. I don't even sure the examiner will be able to read my writing or not. As for the interview, I got this pretty lady named Miss Lily Ho, She was so friendly, its very comfortable to talk to her. She asked me a few ques lk why i choose this course, why I pick GIC, my cocuriculum experince and etc. I think i did well in my interview. I got to know a few new friends too like Sonia, Pui Ying and Crystal. They are all very nice not to mentioned their superb results in their hand. Since they have all started college, they told me about their college and everything. I completed everything at 3 pm.
While I was squeezing my mind lk nobody business, my parents went off for shopping at Mahkota Parade. Mom bought each of us a small keychain with our nickname on it including one for Ian. See, someone still wants to kick my arse, how "grateful" is that..But jie's "Winnie" ended up become "Winni" without the letter-e..hahah! You add it yourself lar next time. Reached home at about 5 pm, then slept until dinner time.*Phew* at least it over now..
I got two. Muahahaaaha!
Love,
yin
