Sometimes, if we wish hard enough, dreams will come true. |
Today, I went to World Class Study/ London Exhibition in Mandarin Oriental Hotel to meet the representatives from LSE. Gosh! I was so excited! I still remember the 1st time I went to the same event last year, at the exact same venue. The only difference was this time I am officially an offer holder to enter the university. Half way there, Charis Lau called me and said that she was too in KLCC and attended the reception as well. I had anticipated this for a quite some time. I had made a list of what to ask the representatives about LSE. Once arrived at Ballroom 2, Charis called me so loud that almost everyone in the room turned to look at me. Geee! She still as hippie as usual. She introduced me to the women from LSE which she had a chat a while before I came. Apparently, she even had talked to the women about me before I came.Somehow I felt proud when some of the parents there congratulated me on getting an offer from LSE. Then, dad proceeded with all the questions he had been pondering all this while like the fees structure, accommodation, the course structures, study environment and etc. Lucky for us the woman that entertained us previously too studied Actuarial Science. She gave me a lot of advice on how to cope with the new environment and apply for internship there. Then, her colleague joined our conversation and further assuring me that studying in LSE will be one of the best moment in my entire life. I felt so motivated after the conversation.I know that deep in my heart, LSE is where I want to be for the next few years. After that, mom and dad had a little chat with Charis's parents outside where they served refreshments. Meanwhile, I too catch up with Charis on what's she's doing now. She's still waiting reply from LSE to study law. I really wish she will join me in London. I think it would be better to have a friend there for a fresh start. Hmmm, wonder which uni Yean Long decides to go?? If he's going Imperial and Charis is in London, we can meet up sometime. It would be awesome!
After that, we went to KLCC to kill time. Dad bought a few shirts and pants for his work. Mom went window shopping for bags. We saw a bag from Guess which is so amazingly pretty (Obviously, the price even prettier >.< ). Later, we had our dinner at the food court before heading back. Next week, I'll be attending UK Education Fair in KLCC to inquire about City University and Warwick. Asked Charis to join me but she'll be going to UK for Durham University Open Day. After that, I will make my final decision on which Uni to choose as my 2nd choice. (LSE is definitely my 1st choice d ). He told me not to wait any longer as we need to start doing arrangement for accommodation, fees payment and visa. Oh man, even though I feel very happy that a decision has been made, at the same time, I'm worried as well. Am I choosing the correct path? It's not easy for my dad to support me for that few years in London. We had a rough calculation on the total cost which came up to nearly half a million. I'm praying everyday that God would grant me a scholarship. With one, all problem would be solved. Oh well, I still have chances, I'll just keep trying to the very end. *finger crossed*

I saw this rainbow on the way back. It reminds me of this quote
"The only way to see a rainbow is to look through the rain".
I will not give up before achieving my dream. |
